INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
Scope of Work: The work under this contract includes furnishing all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus and other means of construction, do all the work, and furnish all materials and equipment specified, except as otherwise specified in the contract documents.
Name and Address of Bidder: The proposal shall include the name, address, and shall state whether the bidder is a corporation, partnership, or individual. In the case of a corporation, the proposal shall name the state in which it is incorporated. In the case of a partnership, all partners shall be listed. The proposal shall contain the address of the bidder.
Bid Bonds: A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond payable without condition to the City of Harbor Springs in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount shall be submitted as a “Bid Guaranty”.
Return of Bid Deposits: As soon as bid prices have been compared, all bid bonds will be returned except the three lowest responsible bidders. When the executed agreement and the required bonds have been approved by the Owner, the remaining bid bonds will be returned.
Submittal: Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope labeled as follows: North Flood Diversion Project
Bids must be submitted to the office of Benchmark Engineering Inc., 607 East Lake Street, Harbor Springs, MI, by 10:00 AM on Wednesday July 31, 2019. The bids will be opened publicly. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal.
