Seeking Proposals for Plans to Renovate and Improve Kiwanis Park: Due July 25
The City of Harbor Springs is seeking proposals from licensed architects or other qualified persons to develop plans for renovating Kiwanis Park at 1200 Arbor St, Harbor Springs, MI 49740. The primary renovations include the conversion of existing public bathrooms to outdoor and indoor access, new building windows, a small kitchen, and a deck off of the building while following universal design practices. The City would also like to include two alternates in the design:
Alternate 1: outdoor recreation ice rink (with or without chiller)
Alternate 2: updated playground equipment
The proposals shall include, at a minimum, the name and address of the proposer, the credentials of the proposer, and the cost to develop the plan. Completed proposals will be received at the City of Harbor Springs Hall, PO Box 678, 160 Zoll Street, Harbor Springs, MI 49740, until 12:00 Noon, Thursday, July 25, 2024. After the City accepts a proposal, the plans shall be completed by December 31, 2024, and shall include a detailed specification suitable for seeking bids from contractors and estimated costs to renovate the park and building.
The City of Harbor Springs reserves the right to accept, reject, or counter any proposal in any manner that it determines to be in the public interest. A written agreement acceptable to the City and the proposing party shall be required before any proposal shall be accepted.
